question on a plow

Postby out plowing » Sat May 10, 2008 9:37 pm

I have found a semi mount plow out in a neighbor’s timber, it looks similar to my 566, but this one does not have trip out bottoms, the main support beam that ties all the bottoms together is a rectangular tube.

Any Ideas as to what model it is?

They could be the shear bolt bottoms. These were the least expensive option, and vaible where stones were not a problem.

Is it a "seamless tube or two pieces welded together?

Looks like a 566 to me. The backbone looks too big to be a 565. Either one could have shear bolt, cushion trip, or hydraulic automatic reset.

There might be a serial number tag on the right front side of the main beam, but it might not have the model number on it.

It looks to be in decent shape. Get it now, in less than two months it will disappear in the giant ragweed.
