Cornbelt Spring Plow Day at Charles Gors Farm Posponed

Postby Oliver66 » Fri Apr 13, 2007 10:47 pm

The Cornbelt Spring Plow Day at Charles Gors Farm near Waverly, Iowa that was scheduled for tomorrow has been posponed until Saturday April 21st. As in the past this event is open to all colors. The hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. He has approx. 40+ acres to turn us loose on to plow. For those of you who have attended in the past you know that once the plowing is done, the eating begins. Charles will be having a hog roast and potluck for all who stay. Please plan to bring a dish or something to pass if you stay for the meal. His friends that play instruments will also be present to entertain with country/blue grass music. This is a wonderful time of friendship and to see some really neat old iron turning the ground black! If you can possibly make it you will not regret having come!

Directions: Head east out of Waverly on Hwy 3. At the first intersection after Schneider Milling, turn left (north), go 1 mile to next intersection. His farm is at the NE corner of the intersection. He has a big gray house with a red barn. His address is 1659 220th Street, Waverly, IA. His phone number is (319) 352 - 3886.
