Avatars

For those of you that are wondering what an avatar is, it's the picture that appears below your username when you post. As you can see, my 2050 is currently my avatar picture.

If you would like one of your own, but aren't sure how to do it, just email me the picture you would like to use, and I'll add it for you. Send your picture to webmaster@hartparroliver.org and I'll add it the next chance I get.

Your avatar needs to be 80 by 80 pixels, or less. If it is larger, the forum software will resize it, but it seems to have a problem keeping it in proportion. The best bet is to resize it before uploading. It can 80 by 45, or 3 by 80, as long as neither dimension is greater than 80.

One more requirement, the image must be 10k in size, or smaller. If it is bigger, the software will tell you.

That's why I'm doing this for those that want it. Most tractor collectors are computer challenged, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to enjoy the features of this forum. If you want me to do it for you, I'd be happy to do it. Otherwise the above information should get you going.

Does that look better?

I brightened it up a bit, but maybe I should have done a little more.

I have had my avatar working for a while, but I like all of you guys' pics. On a different note, Chris...do you know why my signature would work sometimes, and then others not? I cant figure it out. It is turned on in both places....I dont know what the deal is.

Welllll
You know how when you were a kid, and you were driving the tractor...or the car or truck, and it would do something wrong. And you would go and tell your dad about it, and when he asked you to show it to him, it would never do it again?

HAHA...that just happened with this signature thing.

I ask Chris what the deal is, and it works perfectly....OF COURSE!!!

There have been a few people having trouble at the site for the last few days. It looked like there had been some server troubles where the site is hosted, but they seem to have that straightened out now. Hopefully that will get everybody back to normal.
