OC-3 help

Postby BrianC » Tue Jan 06, 2015 6:32 pm

New to the site.

I have a 51 OC-3 wide track with some undercarriage issues. I need tonreplace the front idler bushing as it is "pigeon toed" on that side. However, I have beaten, and beaten, and cussed, and beaten some more on the track pin and it just wont come out.

Im having issues with the front idler assembly becoming bound on the slide rails, thus not keeping the track tight enough. Dont know, but I believe all this to be the cause of abnormal wear (I mean shiny metal) on that side's rear sprocket.

Any opinions or help is appreciated!

I also have a planitary steer unit for it. I talked to zimmerman cletrack and they said they would trade me parts if the unit was in good shape (and it is) so if you wanted to put clutch steering back in it you could for free and a little time.
