Does anybody know the valve clearance for an 18-36 engine?

Hi Fred
To Adjust the valves spot the engine on top dead center compression on the cylinder you are going to set. Both valves will be closed. Loosen the clamping screw on the rocker arm. On the intake valve tighten the adjuster so there is no clearance between the rocker arm and valve. Don't go to far as the valve must remain closed. Then back the adjuster off 1/4 turn. Tighten the clamping screw. This should give .015" clearance between the valve and rocker arm. Do the same to the exhaust valve adjustment except 1/2 turn is used to give .030 clearance between the valve and rocker arm. Hoov
