Hello
Can anyone help me? I have a Delco Remy Generator (Dynamo) with two terminals, one marked (F ) I assume is the field terminal making the other the output to the battery. On the mounted Voltage Regulator I have three terminals. Field, Generator and Battery. The light switch I have is the supply for the field on the Generator according to the book. So do I connect it directly to the Generator Field terminal and not use the F terminal on the voltage regulator or is there something I'm overlooking. Or do I connect the F terminal on the Generator to the F terminal on the voltage regulator and not use the three position light switch. Any help much appreciated.
Regards
Richard

The regulators that I have used on the original 6 volt generators is a 4 terminal. Battery, Generator, Field and Lights. The wire from the light switch to the field on generator was used to ground the field when the original cut out was used. It is not used with a regulator. The regulator I use is for the fleet line gas tractors.
