engine lift points

Postby JerseySierra » Thu Nov 17, 2016 10:04 pm

Have a simple question, what is the prescribed method for lifting a Waukesha 310 motor? Also applies to 265, 283 etc. My 310 has a couple extra long valve cover studs. Thinking they were meant for lifting eyes. I don't see any tapped holes or whatnot to attach an eye. Thoughts?

I lkke straps rared for the weight to cradle the lift in four places to stabilize and then lift it with engine stand or crane ,or use the engine lifts you can rent at auto parts , good luck ,

Thanks for info. I found extended head studs on both engines and made brackets to attach to these. Amazing what you find when you open your eye.
