stuck piston

stuck piston

:?: have super 77 diesel has 1 stuck piston #4 due to water from uncovered
exhaust has sat for god only knows am planing to restore it suggestion on removing piston have all ready cleaned cylinder wall with sand paper pushed
on rod with cap off with wood stick with floor jack till front wheels came off floor then layed big block of wood on top of block over #4 sleeve and hit it
with 8# slege hammer did not move it is setting with penetrating oil on it now Has any body ever heated the in side of the sleeve right above the piston with a torch toget it loose I am going to re sleeve it any way? Would like to soup it up any suggestions Thanks Randy McCune

dry ice on the piston and a heat gun on the sleeve worked for us

unbolt the rod from the crank, then beat on the sleeve from the bottom and drive the sleeve and piston out as a unit, a piece of hardwood works good, then lay it no the floor and hit the sleeve with a bfh which will break the sleeve and problem solved. btdt, Chuck
