Row Crop 60 seat questions

Postby Row Crop Bill » Mon Jul 06, 2015 12:06 pm

I just acquired a Row Crop 60 for restoration. It came with a seat I am not familiar with. It is kind of hinged from in front of the break back to the seat and rests on a spring and shock of some sort. Is this an option from Oliver or some sort or aftermarket thing I should replace upon restoration? I will try to attach a couple pictures. Thanks for the help.

Monroe after market seat, the were popular late 40's and during the 50's.
Dad put one on our F20 Farmall, much better than the original.

Great, thanks! Now, if restoring this tractor, will it hurt it much to leave this on, of should I find an original? I am not sure if I should keep it or find an original. My Dad has 49 Row Crop 88 with the "suspension style" seat with the rubber absorber type pieces. I guess ultimately, if you, or anyone else on here, were to restore it, would you keep the seat or not? Thanks a lot for the advice!

I would keep it. The tractors I have seen with a Monroe seat, the seat and brackets are red.
