1850 HP/open center vs discbine requirements

Postby Sean D » Sat Mar 07, 2015 9:15 pm

I'm looking for discbine advise for an 1850 diesel. Had a 5209 lined up but it fell thru. Think I could have run that with the 1550 too (maybe). Now I'm looking at a 1340 Hesston but I'm a little concerned about hammering the 1850's with a discbine that is too much. I had briefly looked at a 1413 a while back and it would have been pushing the envelope at 92hp (a little more, been turned up slightly). I've heard hydraulic capticity issues (possibly) too, maybe that was more an open center comment and had more to do with response, not sure. It's hard to decipher good info from bad vs intent sometimes. Trying to make a smart decision. Center pivot sure sounds nice and avoiding drawn out EP oil changes sounds good too. Either design apears to have way less inherent issues than NH or JD.

Thanks,

Sean
